2. What Vertaislaina24 is NOT
Vertaislaina24 is only a classifieds board.
- We are not a lender and do not grant loans.
- We are not a credit intermediary as defined by Finnish Act 186/2023 on the Registration of Certain Credit Providers and Credit Intermediaries. More: legal status.
- We are not an investment firm and do not provide investment advice.
- We do not assess creditworthiness and do not mediate contracts.
- We do not receive or process payments between users.
The Service is a technical platform where users publish their own listings. All contracts, negotiations and money transfers happen directly between users without Vertaislaina24's involvement.
3. Service content and pricing
Vertaislaina24 allows users to:
- Publish a listing «I need a loan» (borrower) or «I invest» (investor);
- Browse other users' listings;
- Contact another user via the contact info they provide.
The service is intended for private loans between people residing in Finland (amounts in euros, region in Finland). We reserve the right to remove listings submitted from outside Finland or not concerning a loan in Finland — without refund.
Contacts and communication
An author can choose whether their contact details are public or hidden. When contacts are hidden, Vertaislaina24 does not reveal the author's contacts automatically. Instead, an interested person leaves their own email address, which is forwarded to the author, and the author decides whether to get in touch. By leaving their email, the user consents to it being forwarded to the author for this purpose. We do not guarantee that the author replies.
Publishing fees:
- Borrower: €3.00 / listing (Premium €6.00)
- Investor: €10.00 / listing (Premium €20.00)
Listings are active for 30 days. One-time payment — no subscription. Payments processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd (Ireland).
4. Right of withdrawal and refunds
For listings published from 19 June 2026, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies (EU Directive 2023/2673). Publishing a listing is a service performed immediately, therefore:
- You may withdraw a listing within 14 days — in the cabinet with the “Withdraw” button or by notifying us.
- On withdrawal we refund the fee in proportion to the unused period (pro-rata of 30 days). No refund is due for days already used, as the service was actually provided during that time.
- The refund returns to the same card within 5–10 banking days; the listing is removed. Premium is part of the same listing and is refunded proportionally.
Statistics access (€2) is a separate digital service performed immediately. Access and the PDF report open right after payment, so the right of withdrawal does not apply to it. For Premium listings, statistics are free. More: Right of withdrawal.
5. User responsibility
- Provide truthful information in the listing;
- Use the service in accordance with Finnish and EU law;
- Do not use the service for usury, fraud or any unlawful activity;
- Take full responsibility for the terms and performance of any contract made with another user.
6. Liability limitation
Vertaislaina24 is not party to contracts between users. We do not guarantee:
- The trustworthiness or solvency of other users;
- The truthfulness of information in listings;
- The performance of contracts between users.
We are not liable for any indirect or direct damages arising from user-to-user contracts or user actions.
7. Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. Consumer users may also contact their own country's consumer protection authority. Finnish users may complain to the Consumer Disputes Board (KRIL) or the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV).
